Great American Sharpshooter Less Than Jake Ok, here's a great song from LTJ's fifth album Hello Rockview (an incredibly awesome by the way.) Some of the syncopated rhythms the guitarist uses, like in the second verse, instance, are a little tricky especially to sing and play at the same time- but it fine played straight, too. (solo gtr.) So you think of what it could've been (band enters) When time is all you've lost it keeps burning through your head (And now) you fall asleep standing but lie awake in bed (Watch the) clock drag on and think about what you should've said [Pre-Chorus] Oh- It's for the better Your better half is gone. (////) (////) It's OK - You didn't need her anyway. [Chorus] And I don't want to hear you say, “Nobody can take her place,” Woah oh oh oh oh... oh-oh-oh And what more can I say? You don't need her anyway. Woah oh oh oh oh... oh-oh-oh So you think of how it should've been And "It's just over" Keeps going through your head. (You're) hearing all those words time & time again (Watch the) phone all night and think about what you should've said [Pre-Chorus] [Chorus] [Breakdown] (solo gtr.) Woah oh oh oh oh... oh-oh-oh Woah oh oh oh oh... oh-oh-oh Woah oh oh oh oh... oh-oh-oh Woah oh oh oh oh... oh-oh-oh [Chorus] [Ending] Well there it is. This is a pretty good song to cover if you want an awesome LTJ song don't have any horns in your band, because there aren't any horns in the recording (as far I can tell anyway.) Have Fun, Jon
