Here's the version of Dark End of the Street that I've got - learned it from a Percy Sledge recording though, not the Commitments soundtrack. Dark End of the Street F#min At the dark end of the street F#min That's where we'd always meet Hiding in shadows where we don't belong Living in darkness to hide our wrong You and me, at the dark end of the street You and me F#min I know that time's gonna take it's toll F#min We've got to give back all the love that we stole It's a sin and we know it's wrong Oh but our love keeps coming on strong Steal away, to the dark end of the street They're going to find us F#min They're going to find us They're going to find us Oh someday You and me, at the dark end of the street You and me And when the daylight time comes around And if by chance we walk downtown If you should see me just walk on by But darling, please don't cry Tonight we'll meet, at the dark end of the street I usually don't do the key change for the final verse, but it was there in the original so I thought I'd include it for the purists in the bunch. BTW, the lyrics may be a little screwy, my favourite version of this tune was recorded by Richard Thompson and my memory of the words may include some of his own idiosyncratic choices.
