Whether this is right or not, i think it sounds almost perfect if not exact.
When i play it with friends, i usually just use a second 6-string guitar instead of a
to play the bass part, these are the exact right notes the repetition of each note may be
though, especially how many times he hits the open E at the end. Generally, i add some
hammer-ons and slides and a lot of tremolo too. Like this:

e|----------------------------------------|
B|----------------------------------------|
G|----------------------------------------|
D|----------------------------------------|
A|-0-2-3---2-3/5---3-5-7-7----------------|
E|-----------------------0--0~------------|

Chords:
Standard tuning.

Verse 1

Through my temptation to walk away,

and through the endless troubled days,

there's a hundred million ways,

for me to release your praise;

and by and by, and through the tears,

and things you've taught me through the years,

my whole life was designed by you,

I'll never know anyone half as true;

Pre-Chorus

I lift it up, I lift it up,

lift it up so you can see,

I lift it up, I lift it up,

lift it up from inside of me;

I lift it up, I lift it up,

lift it up so you can see,

I lift it up, I lift it up,

lift it up from inside of me;

Chorus

So I lift it, I lift it up to you,

and I will never forget,

the times that we've been through,

so I lift it, I said I lift it up to you;

And I surrender all of me,

to you, to you, to you, and

everything I'll ever be, to you, to you, to you,

and I surrender all of me

Repeat as necessary...

Hope it works out...
