Blacking Out The Friction Tab

by Death Cab For Cutie

The other chords tab for this song is incredibly wrong,
even with the key change it attempts.

This tab is in C, which is what Death Cab plays it in,
but you can move it up or down with a capo if you desire.
Ben plays a lot of his acoustic songs in E (capo 4). It
sounds nice in E if you are trying for a sound like his.
Also, feel free to use different variations of the chords;
it all sounds fine.

If you want to try and match the strumming pattern on the
record, just listen and the chords fit, but if you are
playing solo acoustic I would recommend just sticking with
a basic pattern, it sounds smoother than the rhythm guitar
on the record.

I don't mind the weather, I've got

scarves and caps and sweaters, I've got

long johns under slacks for blustery

days.

I don't mind restrictions or if you're

blacking out the friction. It's just

an escape it's overrated

  anyways. The
