EVIL THINGS – Marc Broussard
-------------------------------------------------------------------------

An amazing piano-driven ballad by Broussard. It was a bit difficult to
get the chords working for guitar, but give these a go. The B7sus2 is
something else, I know, but it kinda works. Try it out. (I think capo on
4th is perhaps the easiest way to go)

Standard tuning
Capo on fourth fret!

B7sus2 = x24222     / = xx1202      = x02120         = x24242

INTRO

VERSE1

You don't know me, but I, don't even know myself
             B7sus2 C#m7#5 /
We can't pretend that I'm someone else

Try to surrender, and I try to understand
        B7sus2 C#m7#5 /
    I can't remember who I am

CHORUS
                         A#m7b5
The evil things that I've done

Wash away, in the warmth of your sun
                       A#m7b5
The broken man that you see
                              ...
Is not me, no, just a shadow where I used to be

INTERLUDE (repeat intro)
...

VERSE2

Took you for granted and I, I had to pay the price
            B7sus2 C#m7#5 /
I've lost you once, but I won't lose you twice

You try to hold me, but I, I cannot sit still
        B7sus2 C#m7#5 /
Baby I love you, and I always will

CHORUS
                         A#m7b5
The evil things that I've done

Wash away, in the warmth of your sun
                       A#m7b5
The broken man that you see
                              ...
Is not me, no no, just a shadow where I'll be wonderful

BRIDGE
     ...A#m7b5
I'll be everything, there's a miracle in the melody of this song I sing
                        A#m7b5
 We'll be beautiful endless everything

You're the miracle in the melody and this song's for you

CHORUS
                         A#m7b5
The evil things that I've done

They just wash away, in the warmth of your sun
                      A#m7b5
The broken man that you see, is not me

Just a shadow.
