Lemons Tab

by Roger Clyne

I don't do much tabbing so I'm sure there are some things that could be
fixed with this. I was just kinda tired of waiting for it to appear so I
decided to do it myself, even if it's not 100% accurate. At least it's
something to build off of. I'd love to see what I got wrong!

Lemons by Roger Clyne and the Peacemakers

Intro
  x4

Verse 1

I'm sailing the seas of red wine

I'm strumming this nonsense tune

Add my voice to a rebel serenade

Echoin' off a waxin' moon

[intro x2]

Verse 2

And I've crumpled our paper captain

Now who will lead this swarthy crew?

Tear the teeth off the gears, keep 'em as souvenirs, boys!

The world needs a few good mutineers now

Chours

Sometimes I slumber on a bed of roses

Sometimes I crash in the weeds

One day a bowl full of cherries
              E (cut silent)
One night I'm suckin' on lemons and spittin' out the seeds

[repeat intro]

Verse 3

I am the fat, native, skinny-dippin', semi-professional tourist

A gold watch at the bottom of the sea

Tis time I depose of those petty tyrants

One on the throne, one inside me

[chorus]

[repeat intro]

Verse 4

Bring on the change. Let's keep it simple now

Don't confuse your wants with your needs

Believe in love (love!), forsake your greed

And give away what you want to receive
"what you say?"

Give away what you want to receive
"what you say?"

Give away what you want to receive
"what you say?"

Give away what you want to receive

[chorus x2]
